La Roche Bluegrass Festival Verified listing

Situated in the beautiful French alpine region is the attractive town of La-Roche-sur-Foron. Every year on first weekend of August, over four days,  it hosts Europe’s largest bluegrass festival. It is free and attracts thousand of visitors and features top bands from all over Europe and the USA. it hosts a workshop/camp and the European Bluegrass Band of the Year competition

EBMA is proud to partner this great festival and supports the the European Bluegrass Band of the Year competition by adding to the prize money for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place.

In recognition of the important role and success of the La Roche Bluegrass Festival, the International Bluegrass Misic Association (IBMA) presented the founder and chairman Christopher Howard-Williams with the Distinguished Achievement Award, its second highest award (After Hall of Fame), at the IBMA World of Bluegrass Awards Ceremony in Raleigh, North Carolina in 2018
