The Big STONE Old Time Country Band was founded in 1998 and plays since spring 2017 in their current lineup. Of course, the band uses only acoustic instruments: guitar, mandolin, banjo, violin and double bass. In Switzerland, Big STONE is one of the few bands dedicated to Old Time Music, continuing the tradition of stringbands. They play music from the "youth years" of country music. Bluegrass - also derived from this tradition - completes their repertoire.
