New mandolin model from British luthier
British-born bluegrass musician and luthier Sim Daley, now resident in the USA, has built a new mandolin for Adam Steffey to the latter's own specifications. It is now being played by Steffey in the Dan Tyminski Band. Orders can be placed for similar instruments; the original Bluegrass Blog's feature quotes a price of $8,500 and delivery in ten to twelve months.
