Performing at the EWOB Festival
Until EWOB started in 1998 there was no way to meet and hear so many European bluegrass
musicians in one place. That in itself is reason enough for many to come to Voorthuizen every
year... and there are many more reasons. Talk to bands who have done that recently and they will tell you!
TRAVEL EXPENSES - For playing at the EWOB Festival you will not get paid, except for partial travel expenses: 10 Eurocents per km per band, based on one car.
LODGING - Bring your camping gear and you may camp for free very close to 't Trefpunt. For information on other forms of lodging at your own cost: www.ewob.eu, vvv@ebma.nl

This Guide will be read by virtually everybody in Europe who is interested in bluegrass music.

Additional performances
In previous years the EWOB consisted of approximately one hundred bluegrass concerts and festivals. You may perform: - at additional gigs in the Netherlands
- at gigs in your own country during the EWOB month
- at extra gigs while traveling to or from the Netherlands These concerts and festivals are organized independently, but the EBMA will coordinate and publish everything in the EWOB Guide. Circumstances differ, but basically you will get paid for these gigs; also food (sometimes lodging) will be included.
NOTE: We will help you as much as possible, but it is important to realize that you are primarily responsible for your lodging, food, contacts with the promoters etc. With so many bands and gigs it is impossible for us to handle every detail, so make sure that you know what's happening for your band.
